Well this semester has come to an end. Another class down and almost finished at ULV. I am looking forward to my last two classes (student teaching). I must say this semester was fun and exciting. When I enrolled in this class I didn’t know what it was going to be like. I was somewhat knowledgeable what it came to technology but I was surprised to find out I had so much more to learn. This class I must say is one of my favorites. I love technology and I learned so many new things. Looking at the syllabus the learning outcome states:
“Practice thoughtful, cognitive reflection and dialogue about the application and impact of technology in education as measured by participation in and completion of the following assignments: Course Reflection Blog, Course Book Club, Cool Tool Duel.”
“Develop multiple assignments evidencing the mastery of a broad scope of learning technologies as measured by participation in and completion of the following assignments: Design a YouTube channel, Make a Screencast, Wiki, and work in Google apps.”
“Develop a professional website evidencing mastery of inquiry or project-based teaching as measured by participation in and completion of the following assignments: ePortfolio and Project-Based Quest”
Looking back at all the new technology I learned and worked on, I am impressed with myself. My three favorite assignments were the WordPress blog, cool tool duel, and the copyright commercial. I am so excited to show my future students and incorporate all of these into my classroom. I have a newfound respect for technology and I only hope to grow as technology changes. Thank you Professor Decker, for equipping me with the knowledge I need when addressing technology in the classroom! You are a wonderful teacher and I hope ULV integrates more course based on technology!
